Commissioned Oil Portrait from Photo
Commission a timeless, photorealistic oil portrait created using traditional Old Masters techniques. Each portrait is based on a high-resolution photo you provide and is hand-painted through a meticulous, multi-step process:
Painting Process
-
Sketching: A detailed pencil sketch is transferred onto the canvas to ensure accuracy.
-
Underpainting: A monochromatic base is applied to establish values and form.
-
Color Layer: Rich, full-color oil layers bring the portrait to life.
-
Glazing: Transparent layers are added for depth, refinement, and a luminous finish.
Once the initial color layer is complete, you’ll receive one progress photo. Minor adjustments can be requested at this stage. No changes are made during the final glazing phase or after the painting is finished. I reserve the right to decline major or repeated revisions that fall outside the original scope.
